Hi, I’m Lauren.
I help founders uncover the story, positioning, and messaging at the heart of their business.
Most founders know their business intimately. They know their clients, understand the transformation they create, and have spent years building expertise in their field. Yet despite knowing their business inside out, many struggle to articulate what makes them different. Their business has evolved, their thinking has evolved, and their expertise has evolved, but their messaging hasn't always kept pace.
As a result, they often find themselves creating content that doesn't quite land, explaining their work in different ways every time someone asks what they do, or feeling frustrated that their website and marketing don't reflect the value they know they bring.
This is the work I love most.
My career has spanned almost three decades across journalism, communications, public relations, branding, marketing, and strategic storytelling. Long before I worked in marketing, I worked as a journalist, where I learned how to ask better questions, listen deeply, identify patterns, and uncover the truth beneath the surface. Looking back, those skills have shaped every role I've held since.
Over the years I've worked as an editor, account manager, marketing manager, project manager, and communications specialist across industries ranging from media and creative agencies to luxury brands and global businesses. While the titles changed, the work remained remarkably consistent: helping people communicate clearly.
What I've come to realise is that the biggest breakthroughs rarely happen when someone is handed a new marketing strategy or a new website. They happen when a founder finally sees themselves and their business clearly.
Through strategic interviews, deep listening, and pattern recognition, I help founders uncover the insights that are often hiding in plain sight. Together we explore the founder story, the brand story, the positioning, the messaging, and the unique perspective that makes their business worth paying attention to.
My clients often tell me, "That's exactly it."
Not because I've invented something for them, but because I've helped them articulate something they already knew deep down but couldn't quite put into words.
Once that clarity exists, everything else becomes easier. Marketing becomes easier. Content becomes easier. Decision-making becomes easier. Growth becomes easier. Because instead of second-guessing every move, founders have a clear foundation from which to lead their business.
When I'm not working with clients, you'll usually find me near the ocean – surfing, paddle boarding, travelling, or chasing my next adventure. I've always believed that the best stories come from curiosity, exploration, and being willing to venture beyond what feels familiar.
Perhaps that's why I enjoy this work so much.
Every founder has a story worth telling.
Sometimes they simply need someone to help them uncover it.
Sometimes clarity begins with a conversation.
The founders I work with rarely come to me because they need more marketing. They come because they know there's something important they're struggling to articulate. Together, we'll uncover what that is.
